Play on in clearly drawn positions/endgames

It is ok but It can be a waste of time, play it if u have doubts
or if ur opponent has much less rating than u.
I think that the key lies before reaching that position how to create some chaos, some entropy, unbalance so that It will not end in a draw, but thats obviously not easy,
or just accept the draw and play another game.
If the position is clearly a draw (1) and both of you know how to play it (2), there's no point on keeping playing. We only should keep playing drawish positions if we think (1) or/and (2) could be false. Obviously I'm not taking into account the clock factor.
Its ok to play and win on time of course, but if the pos. is stale draw,
playing only to flag the opponent reflects most he/she who does it.
It's legal to play by the rules to try to win (or draw) a drawn (or lost) position. However, you might not find it enjoyable or rewarding to constantly do so.
