This Article really changed my perspective of kids playing chess.
I'm from Germany and for me, it was my decision to start learning chess and my parents didn't have anything to do with it at all. Even though they support me at whatever I'm doing, I really don't have any parental pressure in chess at all. I am pushing myself to do this, and I'm learning to master this game out of pure enjoyment.
I didn't think about parents who pressure their kids to win tournaments, I always thought of it as a fun hobby.
In my experience, pressure is almost always bad and can really destroy the fun you have with something.
My advice is, to just not take it too seriously, even though it can be hard.
I know you don't charge for the excel sheet "officially", but i optimized it a bit, because it wasn't actually "ready to be used", i would like to send you my version of it
But going solo is illegal in India. I know two brothers who were less than 15 years old that time. They played a FIDE rated event and after it ended they went to the Railway Station to catch the train but what happened was that the Railway Police caught them. And the organizers had a difficult job to help them at midnight.
