Examining training puzzles with "continue from here" counts as loss

Sometimes with training puzzles we may be unsure why a certain move was the wrong move. The easiest way to explore bad lines in a puzzle is to use the feature "continue from here" and play against the computer starting from that position.

Unfortunately, each time you "continue" from a puzzle, it counts towards wins/losses/draws on the user profile and is permanently recorded as a game played. Most of the time when I'm studying a puzzle, I want to explore losing lines, so playing against the computer is a guaranteed loss.

I don't think players should be punished for studying puzzles.

When starting from a position, the wins/losses/draws should not be recorded in the profile. Also, I don't see any good reason to have the puzzle reside in a person's game list unless they are in progress (not yet resigned), as it is just clutter.

As of now I haven't played a single game, and I have 6 wins, 12 losses, and 2 draws.
Yep, I analyze the puzzles against SF a lot, especially when I didn't solve it but also puzzles that I did solve sometimes to understand them better or see the continuation.
Thanks for telling us that now Lichess helps us explore puzzles. Is it a new feature?
No, not new maybe you didn't notice it had that feature...after you finish a puzzle it says ''continue game from here'' (below the board) and then you can choose vs computer or a friend.
it also shows you from what game the puzzle was created from which is interesting too...
