Puzzles that are only hard because your looking for mate when there is none

Sometimes there are strange puzzles like this that are actually relatively easy but only seem hard because you are looking for mating combinations instead of just winning material:

I saw the combination of winning material pretty quickly with Rxd1+ followed by Qf2 yet it took me long to solve this puzzle because I thought there was supposed to be a mate.

This puzzle is 2218 but would be rated below 2000 if people knew there was no mate IMO.
A major weakness of using puzzles to become better at chess, that there Is a very good move avaliable, so It's not possible to use that knowledge on every move in your games, therefore saying If a puzzle has a mate or not increases this weakness .

EG-Gamer I agree, I do not suggest that it should tell you whether it's mate or win material. But I am saying that a few puzzles I have played were rather easy but because I thought there was more to it I kept on looking (sometimes for a long time) and it made the puzzle appear to be harder than it really is.
Again the puzzle I posted, I suspect the only reason it has a high rating is because people are looking for mate in it and when they don't find it give up or mess up.
