CS JUVENES

Juvenes Athletic Club is a private club with public obligations in Mures, Romania, with the goal of encouraging grassroots sport that is diverse and consistent, as well as discovering actual sports abilities among children and adults. Juvenes will ensure optimal training and development circumstances by developing a culture of excellence in physical training, both for a healthy lifestyle and to become national and international sports performers.

Juvenes is a different notion; whether we're talking about grassroots or performance sports, youngsters or adults, quality is a must. We hope to establish an integrated strategy for attracting, motivating, and training children and adults for grassroots sport in the medium term. In the long run, we want to be a hub for movement and performance assistance and promotion.

Under the umbrella name Pion Campion, we organize an annual international Open tournament with about 100 players in our home town of Tirgu Mures, Romania (www.opentgmures.ro) as well as other small events of rapid or blitz chess.
Our members and other players get together once a week in a local tavern (Casa Berii Ursus) for socializing, blitzing, and kibitzing.
