What can I do to become a 2000?

Chess can be a really easy game if you know the plan . Once you master the art of plan , Chess will be easy-peasy . To make a plan you should be knowing the position . For that positional understanding is important . Work with some good positional books . Try to play more classical and rapid games . Reason - you will have more time and more time means more time for planning . This is all what I recommend .
Well, I play for many years, never really played "professionally". Played a bit in a chess class when I was like 12 but ditched it for like 10 years before returning after I got too many beatings in one day there.
Here's what I do:
- I never play bullet. the minimum time I am willing to play is 5+3 and it's too fast for me also.
- I use the "learn from your mistakes" in the computer analysis after every game I play. Also, if there was some point at the game where I felt I couldn't find the correct move, I look to see what was I supposed to play. If I got into trouble right from the opening, I look to see what are the right moves, not that I will remember it, but sometimes after making the same mistakes over and over again it sticks.
- I do the 5 allowed puzzles in chesscom, the puzzle rush and the daily puzzle here.
- Watch Magnus' banter blitz videos, He is very informative and explains very well his moves and ideas there.
- I also watch big tournaments of the super GMs *without* the engine eval or move suggestions on and try to think what is the correct move to play each move.

That's all I do, good luck!
- For me playing longer time controls helped me improve.
- Working with a coach helped me improve on issues I got stuck with.
- Work on the thing you enjoy working on most. Let's say if you enjoy endgames, study endgames.
A famous and successful artist was once asked, by a room full of students: "What do I have to do in order to become a great artist", the artist responded by saying: "In order to become a great artist, you simply need to be a great artist".

The reason you can't get to 2000 is simply because you're too dumb. Chess is an intelligence game after all.

I just started playing after watching the Queen's Gambit a few months ago and already I'm over 2200, soon to be over 2300.
@dvg11 How on earth can you say that chess is easy if you know the plan, bla bla bla, when you haven't demonstrated any ability at all to be able to play chess at a decent level. You have no clue at all what you are talking about and are in fact even lower rated than the guy who was asking the question, lol.

You're like a homeless guy who crawls out of a dumpster only to give financial advice on the street corner. It makes no sense!

c'mon just study theory and solve tactics and analyze your games without and with engine
