Is the death of George Floyd really a racial issue? I think that the #AllLivesMatter is an attempt to make his death less about race and more about police brutality.

Also I think if Lichess takes a stance about Black Lives Matter, then the ongoing riots and looting deserve a condemnation. There are peaceful protesters, but many of the protesters have become violent.

This is a political game. Lichess, immediately get out of the political game!

All Lives Matter is about telling victims of police brutality to shut up. There's a reason why there has never been an All Lives Matter protest over any victim of police brutality, black or white, why no one tweeted All Lives Matter to support the quarantine, why All Lives Matter has never engaged in any positive action ever and only criticizes Black Lives Matter: It's 'covert' white supremacy in the American tradition.

Rioting and looting are part and parcel of any protest and violence has been present in every push for civil rights in American history. And the fact that Derek Chauvin is now facing a charge of second-degree murder, that Minneapolis is talking about police abolition, so on and so forth conclusively proves that riots work and that the lie of the perfect protest is just to ensure that protests are toothless and don't actually bring about change.
